| After just 3 days of incubation, a beating heart may be visible. | 1 day old American Singer chicks, dry and hungry. | |||
| After as little as 5 days of incubation,the interior of the egg turns deep pink, and blood vessels are visible as the circulatory system begins to develop. | 1 week after hatching, pin feathers begin to emerge. | |||
| After 10 days of incubation, the egg is darkening as the active chick grows and fills its space. | 2 weeks after hatching, 5 yellow chicks fill their nest. | |||
| After 14 days the eggs begin to hatch. | 3 weeks old, these 4 bronze canaries won't fit in their nest much longer. | |||
